All about Specialized's road and mountain bikes
Specialized actually has a very simple goal: they want to become the favourite brand of every cyclist who has high standards. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just enjoy touring, they want you to think Specialized when you think of your next bike. They constantly innovate and improve, but never forget what really matters: you, the cyclist. Whether you like to race full throttle down the mountains or just relax through the park, Specialized is here to help you with the perfect bike and equipment.
They truly believe that cycling can change lives, which is exactly why they are so committed to their customer.
Specialized began its journey in 1974, when Mike Sinyard decided to make the Allez race bike and the Sequoia touring bike. But their real breakthrough came in 1981, when they were the first to launch a mountain bike for everyone: the Stumpjumper.
With innovations like the three-spoke triathlon wheel and the Brain suspension system, Specialized has always been at the forefront of the bike market. Their motto "Innovate or die" reflects their determination to always stay ahead. Besides mountain bikes and road bikes, they also make BMX bikes and touring bikes, in addition to offering clothing, helmets and parts.
Specialized's success is also confirmed by the achievements of top athletes. In 2003 and 2008, the world mountain biking champion rode cross-country on a Specialized. Since the 2009 cycling season, Specialized also provided the bikes for ProTour team Team Saxo Bank-Tinkoff, and from 2011 they also supplied bikes, shoes and helmets to Belgian team Omega Pharma-Quickstep. And let's not forget the impressive career of Filip Meirhaeghe, who achieved his successes as a mountain biker with Specialized.
"Specialized. Made for cyclists, by cyclists."
If there is one thing that unites Specialized, it is the belief that cycling can change lives. They always strive to attract people with passion, regardless of their field - be it credit managers or IT specialists - who want to inspire others to get on their bikes. Are you ready to make a difference and take the next step in your career?
